Cheese is considered to be one of the world’s favourite foods, cropping up almost anywhere in a variety of different appearances. Nevertheless, some of us are still walking around with an intolerance to cheese. Therefore, we decided to look at five ways to get around cheese intolerance. Check them out below!

  • Take an Intolerance Test

At TMI Testing, we are aware that if eating cheese is making you feel a little queasy or having an effect on your body in other ways, you probably have an intolerance to cheese. However, the impact may vary. This could be because you are intolerant to a particular cheese, or on a wider scale, you could be lactose intolerant. Undergoing an intolerance test will tell you more about your cheese intolerance.

  • Cut cheese out of the diet (For the time being!)

Yes, we know, cutting cheese out of the diet just isn’t an option for some, but in certain cases, it is a necessity. If you are suffering from certain symptoms associated with intolerance such as bloating or even skin irritation, then the best thing to do is eliminate it from your diet. This is not the end though, as you may eventually be able to reintegrate it back into your daily routine. This is because your body may be able to tolerate a certain amount, but you have to give it time to work this out first!

  • Go Dairy Free

Similarly to above, the solution might be going completely cold turkey when it comes to cheese intolerance. If you have worked out that it is not just cheese giving you these symptoms, then the solution may be to go dairy free. Being lactose intolerant is not the best thing in the world, but there are always around it, including finding dairy-free foods that can be integrated into your meal.

  • Phase it out

We all love cheese, and for some people, that is an understatement! After discovering we have a cheese intolerance, not all of us can just remove cheese from our diet. We do recommend cutting it out, but the alternative is to phase it out. Eating fewer amounts of cheese day by day will eventually make it easier to remove it from your diet.

  • Live Life to the Fullest

Having removed cheese from your diet, you will hopefully feel better. You will no longer have to worry about attending social events, as you feel confident in what your body can handle. Knowing that body has a cheese intolerance will most likely see you go dairy-free. This will allow you to know what you are putting into your body, leaving you body confident and happy about attending events.
